Description
**Position Summary:** Serves as part of a busy social media team, offeringengaging content for the organization’s social media presence, including maintaining multiple social media channels, serving customers via social media, and helping implement social media marketing strategy.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections between the social media community and Unity World Headquarters across numerous platforms. Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content.
2. Works with marketing and communications team members to schedule campaigns with social media strategy. Work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns.
3. Measure/track audience information and demographics as well as success of existing social media projects.
4. Assist with influencer marketing strategies and creative campaigns. Identify and build relationships with prominent influencers and thought leaders
5. Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies. Assist with social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms.
6. Use Canva or other design software for basic graphics and video creation. Assist with other departmental writing/design projects as needed.
7. Manage multiple projects and independently prioritize tasks.
8. Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule _._
9. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines
10. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid time off request.
Qualifications
Education:
An associate’s degree completed or in process is preferred, focusing on marketing, communications, or English. Or, equivalent hands-on work experience in the social media arena.
Experience:
1. 3 years’ of combined education and experience with proven skills in social media/social strategy industry.
2. Strong writing skills, content editing, and attention to detail to consistently meet high standards of excellence.
3. Some graphic design exposure.
4. Demonstrated team-oriented and self-motivated experiences.
5. Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to network.
6. Experience in an independent environment to proactively troubleshoot and manage assigned projects.
Computer Skills:
Expert capabilities on both Mac and PC platforms. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Must be Internet and social media savvy.
