Job Description
The Materials Associate is responsible for the receipt, warehousing, and issuance of materials and components to support the production of small drones. This role involves processing shipping and receiving, preparing products for freight shipments, and assisting the Shipping & Receiving Manager with accurate shipment processing. The associate will collaborate with inventory and purchasing groups to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage, focusing on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Process shipping and receiving operations and prepare products for freight shipments.
+ Assist the Shipping & Receiving Manager with accurate shipment processing.
+ Collaborate with inventory and purchasing groups to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage.
+ Focus on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ensure production components are transferred to inventory and placed in discrete storage locations in a timely manner.
+ Maintain material traceability, inventory locations, and accuracy.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of fast-paced warehouse experience.
+ Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) / WMS systems.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to handle physical demands.
+ Strong organization and communication skills.
+ Ability to multitask with little supervision and with a sense of urgency.
+ U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with quality control, AS9100 standards, and Microsoft Office.
+ Experience with proper packaging, labeling, and storage per material requirements.
+ Order accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
+ Experience with RF scanners and parts inventory management.
+ Quality certifications and familiarity with military standards (FAR-52.245-1).

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled, relaxed, and clean warehouse environment. The shift hours are 4 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday. Overtime is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
