Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Manager (PVD2 - AMM)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in the fast-growing and dynamic logistics and fulfillment industry. You will be responsible for managing the maintenance team and ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and mechanical equipment, primarily consisting of conveying and sorting systems. Your role will involve assigning job plans, formulating standards and work procedures, and maintaining positive relations with both customers and employees.
Responsibilities
+ Assign job plans and accomplish departmental goals using experience and judgment.
+ Manage all maintenance team members at the site.
+ Demonstrate leadership and good judgment in decision-making.
+ Assist in formulating standards and work procedures while providing feedback on service delivery discrepancies.
+ Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
+ Ensure that Maintenance department objectives and key metrics are met.
+ Act as a liaison to Account Manager, Planners, Customers, and the Department.
+ Lead team members by providing coaching and mentoring with high standards.
+ Ensure compliance with company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
+ Oversee all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
+ Develop and oversee QA/QC inspection protocol for all work personnel and performed work.
+ Achieve performance expectations as part of performance appraisals.
+ Communicate with all team members to support the development of short and long-range goals and objectives.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 4 years of management experience.
+ Working knowledge of repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
+ Experience in maintenance management, preventive maintenance, and supervision.
+ Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and maintenance supervision.
+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
+ Expertise with PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management, or related field preferred, or transferrable management experience (3 years minimum, 5 years preferred).
+ Capability to obtain CMRP / ICML MLT 1.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong business and people management skills.
+ Experience implementing best practices and standards for new facilities.
+ Ability to manage KPI metrics such as downtime, safety record, and PDM completion.
+ Capability to implement safety policies and communicate their importance.
+ Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
+ Ability to operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and boom lifts.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Johnston, Rhode Island.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
