    Job Title: Line Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated candidates to join our Line 1 Operating Team. This role involves rotating through four positions during an 8-hour shift. Responsibilities include placing blades on a conveyor line, managing them through an oven/furnace, handling them with a hand tool or grabber to set them in a press, quenching them to cool, and finally preparing them for painting, quality inspection, and shipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Place blades on a conveyor line for processing through an oven/furnace.

    + Utilize a hand tool or grabber to set blades in a press.

    + Move blades to a quench for cooling.

    + Hang blades for painting and prepare them for quality inspection and shipment.

    + Rotate among various stations during the shift.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor and production experience.

    + Manufacturing knowledge.

    + Critical thinking abilities.

    + Strong team player.

    + Proficient in measuring and attention to detail.

    + Assembly line and machine operation experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts.

    + Capacity to lift 40-50 lbs.

    + Attention to detail for identifying quality defects.

    + Training on operating rhythm will be provided.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is clean and well-organized, with a production line, welding department, shipping/receiving, and engineering department. While working, you may experience heat, especially at the station handling parts from the furnace. Shift options include 1st shift (6:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 6:00am). Orientation starts at 6 AM, and the first day includes a tour, lunch, and observing other employees to understand job expectations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.50/hr.
