Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts and sub-assemblies according to design specifications and company quality standards. You will work on the 1st Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

+ Select components and assemble them in the correct sequence using tools such as drills, rivet guns, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement, or solder.

+ Install sub-assemblies or component parts in specified sequence according to the Sequence of Events (SOE).

+ Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components in cabinets per SOE.

+ Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and recognize color codes to ensure compliance with guidelines.

+ Utilize a wide range of hand tools including drills, rivet guns, saws, hy-pot testers, and drill presses.

+ Move units or position pieces manually or with work aids such as casters, cranes, or forklifts.

+ Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure compliance with quality standards.

+ Verify that custom equipment changes are completed according to order and Smart Part Number.

+ Clean and pack final products using approved chemicals and refer to MSDS for safe handling.

+ Ensure proper use of PPE around chemicals.

+ Reorder raw materials and finished parts using the Kanban inventory system.

+ Maintain Supermarket racks and ensure inventory accuracy using correct part numbers and bin locations.

+ Provide support and coverage across all operations on the line as requested by the supervisor.

+ Participate in cross-training and demonstrate flexibility in job assignments.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with assembling parts and sub-assemblies according to design specifications.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and recognize color codes.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, rivet guns, saws, hy-pot testers, and drill presses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with using work aids such as casters, cranes, or forklifts.

+ Knowledge of Kanban inventory system.

+ Experience in quality assurance and inspection processes.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Asheville, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
