Job Title: Forklift Operator - Shipping

Job Description

This temporary position involves using a forklift to move skids of finished products and stage them in the shipping area. The role includes collecting products from the production area, maintaining inventory documentation, and ensuring accuracy and timely shipping. You will also use RF scanning technology and may be required to load and unload box trucks or trailers. The use of a shrink wrapper to complete the packaging process of products on skids is also part of the job.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a forklift to move skids of finished products to the shipping area.

+ Collect products from the production area and maintain accurate inventory documentation.

+ Stage products to ensure accuracy and timely shipping.

+ Utilize RF scanning technology for inventory and shipping processes.

+ Load and unload box trucks or trailers as needed.

+ Use a shrink wrapper to complete the packaging process.

Essential Skills

+ Prior forklift operation experience.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Ability to stand for an entire shift.

+ Reliability and excellent attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior production or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is loud, and hearing protection is required. It is a warm to hot environment due to machines emitting heat, and there may be a slight odor from plastic. You must wear a hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses at all times. The position requires moving between multiple stations involved in inspecting and packaging products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Leola, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
