Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembler to join our team. You will be working with new castings that have issues, ensuring they meet specifications through detailed mechanical assembly and repairs. This role involves following instructions precisely and working with various tools to bring castings back to their original specifications.

Responsibilities

+ Work on new castings to address issues and ensure they meet specifications.

+ Follow travelers and operation sheets meticulously.

+ Perform mechanical assembly, including assembling pins and inserts.

+ Use hand tools and angle grinders for deburring and touch-ups.

+ Coordinate with welding operations and perform touch-ups post-welding.

+ Clean and dry castings thoroughly.

+ Conduct tests such as oil flow and pressure tests to ensure functionality.

+ Apply epoxy for local surface treatment when needed.

+ Sign off on travelers and document all operations accurately.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in assembly and use of power and hand tools.

+ Experience in mechanical and production assembly.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Background in automotive, engine rebuilds, or repairs is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A strong focus on quality is essential.

+ Experience in a similar environment is a plus.

+ Must be open to training on the first shift before transitioning to the second shift.

Work Environment

Work within a well-lit, clean, and organized manufacturing facility equipped with newer machines. The schedule includes a 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm and a 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am, with potential for overtime. The team on the 2nd shift is friendly and supportive, working collaboratively across divisions. Enjoy paid breaks and the potential for additional hours at the end of shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of BERLIN, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
