Job Title: Production Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Production Technician, you will be responsible for all facets of general maintenance during the 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. This role requires flexibility, as you may be required to work 12 days on and 2 days off initially, including most weekends. Over time, this will reduce to 1-2 weekends a month. You will undergo 4-6 weeks of training during 1st shift hours before transitioning to your regular schedule.
Responsibilities
+ Observe all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the safety program.
+ Drive success through the continuous improvement program.
+ Uphold the Code of Conduct and maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
+ Submit labor hours within the Micromain system.
+ Effectively troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
+ Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on electrical, HVAC, chillers, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCs, and mechanical equipment and perform repairs as necessary.
+ Follow equipment prints, sketches, and schematics for routine maintenance.
+ Tear down and overhaul equipment components such as pumps, valves, regulators, and motors.
+ Complete required reports and documentation on assigned work and inspections.
+ Support the site’s overall objectives.
+ Be familiar with mechanical components and their interaction with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ Be flexible in working different shifts and be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
+ Perform welding tasks, if capable.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by shift coordinators and the leadership team.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
+ Experience in diagnostic troubleshooting on electrical, HVAC, chillers, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCs, and mechanical equipment.
+ Familiarity with mechanical components and their interaction with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
+ Ability to perform mathematical operations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Trade school maintenance program or 2-year Associates degree.
+ Two to five years of related experience and/or training.
+ Basic computer skills preferred.
+ Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs preferred.
+ HVAC Certificate preferred.
+ Ability to obtain a forklift license.
+ Experience with Lock Out Tag Out and Letter Logic.

Work Environment
The work environment is a production setting that is not climate-controlled, requiring employees to adapt to varying temperatures. You will work in a team-oriented environment but must also be capable of working independently. The role involves exposure to electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, and occasional wet or humid conditions. Employees must wear jeans, steel-toed shoes, a company shirt or t-shirt, and safety glasses. Additional personal protective equipment such as gloves, electrically rated footwear, hearing protection, fall protection, and arc flash equipment will be provided as necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.50/hr.
