**Job Title:** Electrician – Commercial Projects
**Location:** Summerville, SC
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
**Pay Range:** $24.00–$38.00/hour (based on experience)
**Employment Type:** Full-Time
Overview:
We’re hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to support commercial construction projects, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in complex environments such as hospitals and surgical centers. You’ll be part of the team currently building the Roper Surgical Center in Summerville, contributing to new construction efforts including wire runs, power hookups, and system installations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Install commercial recessed lighting, fixtures, and electrical panels
+ Run wire and hook up power systems for new construction projects
+ Retrofit outdated lighting systems with energy-efficient alternatives
+ Perform wiring, conduit bending, and electrical component installation
+ Diagnose and repair electrical issues using volt/ohm meters and diagnostic tools
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
+ Inspect systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or code violations
+ Maintain and repair residential electrical systems as needed
+ Document completed work and materials used for each project
+ Ensure compliance with NEC codes, state, and local building regulations
+ Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
+ Experience in the electrical field (commercial experience preferred)
+ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
+ Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
+ Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
+ Familiarity with healthcare construction environments is a plus
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
