Process Technician
Join our dynamic team as a Process Technician, where you will be setting up and operating injection mold machines. Your role will involve adjusting and monitoring pressure, feed rates, and temperatures to ensure high-quality production. You will perform quality inspections to identify issues such as flash, shorts, and deformations, and work towards achieving on-time completion, quality, and cost targets associated with new injection mold machine setups and operations.
Responsibilities
+ Setup and operate Arburg injection mold machines.
+ Adjust and monitor pressure, feed rates, and temperatures.
+ Perform quality inspections for flash, shorts, and deformations.
+ Create procedures, work instructions, and protocols as required.
+ Improve productivity and reduce scrap/reject rates through automation, tool/process improvements, effective training, and process enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of manufacturing experience operating or setting up plastic injection mold machines.
+ 5+ years of experience in changing molds and setting up proper feed, pressure, and temperature from the first day.
+ Troubleshooting various process issues such as shorts, flashes, and discoloration.
+ Knowledge of plastic materials and various polymers.
Additional Preferred Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree or certificates in robotics, automation, or injection molding processing.
+ Experience with Arburg brand machinery.
+ Forklift and crane certification.

Work Environment
This position is currently open on the 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the flexibility to work from 7 am to 3:30 pm after the initial 2-3 months of comfort. You will thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven, lean systems environment that offers new projects and challenges daily.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
