    Job Title: TIG Welder Up To $31/hr

    Job Description

    As a TIG Welder, you will utilize work orders and blueprints to ensure that work is assembled according to specifications. You will be responsible for marking weld points and positioning components on workpieces using various tools. The role requires selecting, positioning, aligning, and bolting jigs and other fixtures onto machines. You will perform necessary repairs or reworks on defective or non-compliant welds, and remove completed workpieces or parts from machinery. Preparing surfaces or workpieces using hand-operated equipment is also part of your duties, along with adhering to all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards. Your main welding tasks will involve TIG welding stainless and carbon steel between 1/16th and ½ inch.

    Responsibilities

    + Utilize work orders and blueprints to assemble work according to specifications.

    + Mark weld points and position components on workpieces using rules, squares, templates, or scribes.

    + Select, position, align, and bolt jigs, holding fixtures, guides, or stops onto machines using measuring instruments and hand tools.

    + Perform necessary repairs or reworks on defective or non-compliant welds.

    + Remove completed workpieces or parts from machinery using hand tools.

    + Prepare surfaces or workpieces using hand-operated equipment such as grinders, cutters, or drills.

    + Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.

    + Connect tubing by welding small U-shaped tubes to prevent radiator leaks.

    + Stand over the top of some welds and weld very thin materials, sometimes in blind spots.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of experience working with TIG welding on stainless steel.

    + Experience with light gauge TIG welding with small tolerances on stainless steel.

    + Ability to work with small parts and thin metals down to 0.35 inches.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ideally looking for someone with schooling or at least 3-4 years of experience to supplement the schooling.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading.

    + Experience with mechanical and MIG welding is beneficial.

However, phone use is restricted on the production floor for safety reasons. The majority of welding tasks will be done sitting in a chair, and welding tables can be adjusted to appropriate heights.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52832.00 - $64563.00/yr.

     

    Competitive Pay: Pay range $25.40 - $31.04/hr
