    Housekeeper – Child Care Center

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure both internal and external areas are clean and safe

    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and manage waste disposal

    • Keep an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and place orders as needed

    Qualifications:

    Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years if responsible for driving a van)

    • High school diploma or GED is required

    • Prior cleaning experience is preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center.

     

    • Frequently lift or move average weight as in lifting, carrying, and holding children and infants (10 to 40 lbs.)

    • Occasionally move or lift average weight (10 to 50 lbs.) in awkward or difficult position

    • May be required to stand up for 95% of the day

    • Must be able to interact with children on the playground or in a classroom (i.e., run, jump, etc.)

    • Able to physically and mentally react immediately to unexpected circumstances

    • Seek assistance to perform physical demands of the job if necessary, (i.e., lifting or moving heavy weights)

    • Must be able to stoop and bend to interact on child's level

    Compensation:

    The hourly rate for this position is between $14.00 - $17.50 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
