We are seeking a detail-oriented Indirect Tax Consultant to support our Client’s tax compliance and reporting activities across U. . and Canadian jurisdictions. This role will focus on property tax, sales and use tax, container deposits, and Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST). The consultant will collaborate closely with an external tax advisor to ensure timely and accurate reporting and filings. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with strong organizational skills and indirect tax experience to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.

+ Oversee compliance activities for U. . property tax, sales and use tax, container deposits, and Canadian GST/HST.

+ Prepare, review, and deliver reports necessary for a third-party firm to calculate and file returns accurately and on time.

+ Coordinate reporting schedules and ensure data integrity to meet critical third-party firm filing deadlines.

+ Support audit requests for Canadian indirect taxes and follow up on audit-related inquiries and documentation.

+ Run and reconcile reports from Vertex to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactional data.

+ Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, accounting, and operations) to ensure tax data is properly captured and classified.

+ Support process improvements and documentation of compliance procedures for indirect tax workflows.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance, including property tax, sales and use tax, and Canadian GST/HST.

+ Familiarity with Vertex tax software.

+ Experience collaborating with external tax advisors or Big 4 firms.

+ Strong analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and communicate effectively across functions.

+ Experience supporting or responding to tax audits, particularly Canadian indirect tax reviews.

+ A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

+ Ability to be onsite 3 days/week in Atlanta, Georgia.

+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
