We’re hiring a Sr. Application Developer to support a healthcare organization through a major system transition. This is a contract role running through May 2026, with a targeted start date of October 26, 2025.

This position is backfilling a long-time team member who’s retiring after 17 years. We’re looking for someone who can jump in quickly to assist with open enrollment and ideally overlap with the outgoing team member for a smooth handoff.

What You’ll Be Doing

+ Supporting and enhancing existing Edifecs mapping tools (this is not a ground-up build)

+ Working with HIPAA-standard 834 files and translating them to XML for HealthRules Payor

+ Troubleshooting complex transactions, especially those coming from government exchanges

+ Using SQL to log, track, and massage data—stored procedures, views, functions, etc.

+ Testing APIs using Postman or SOAPUI

+ Managing Jira tickets in a sprint-style workflow

+ Occasionally using JavaScript for fixes or enhancements

Role Details

+ Location: 100% Remote (Central Time preferred; open to Mountain or Eastern)

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm CST

+ Interview Format: One-step, 45-minute Teams video interview

+ End Date: May 2026, aligning with the organization’s go-live on a new platform

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
