    Overview

     

    Graham Packaging is seeking an **Intelligent Factory Operations Manager** to play a key role in coordinating and executing initiatives under the Intelligent Factory Program (IFP). This position will focus on driving efficiency across internal teams, coordinating training for plant staff, managing vendor partnerships, and ensuring timely execution of technology-based projects that modernize our manufacturing operations.

     

    This role will lead day-to-day coordination of IFP projects involving **custom software deployments, OEM equipment modifications, and network infrastructure installations** . The Intelligent Factory Operations Manager will ensure alignment across functions—engineering, IT, operations, and plant leadership—to deliver seamless, connected, and data-driven factory solutions.

     

    The position is **remote** , with periodic travel to manufacturing facilities.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of Intelligent Factory Program initiatives.

    + Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.

    + Serve as the primary liaison between Graham’s internal teams and external vendors for software, OEM, and networking projects.

    + Prepare and manage **Statements of Work (SOWs)** for external contracting companies; ensure alignment of deliverables with project requirements.

    + Oversee **purchase orders (POs)** , budgets, and vendor touchpoints to maintain compliance with financial and operational expectations.

    + Schedule, coordinate, and track training sessions for plant staff to ensure readiness for new technologies and systems.

    + Monitor external work progress and conduct follow-ups to verify completion, quality, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

    + Partner with Engineering, IT, and Operations to integrate new systems into existing plant processes and infrastructure.

    + Identify and mitigate risks or barriers impacting project timelines, quality, or budget.

    + Provide consistent and clear reporting to leadership on project performance, progress, and improvement opportunities.

    Core Proficiencies and Skills

    + Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and stakeholders.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration and accountability.

    + Proven experience managing vendor relationships and creating detailed SOWs for technical projects.

    + Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, networking, or industrial software deployment.

    + Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Teams).

    + Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable plans and communicate effectively across diverse teams.

    + Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.

    + Able to travel approximately **30%** , on average.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, or related field, or commensurate experience in applicable roles.

    + Minimum **5 years of project management or program coordination experience** in manufacturing, digital transformation, automation, or manufacturing environments.

    + Experience managing external vendors and coordinating technology-driven projects such as custom software, OEM modifications, or network installations.

    + PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.

     

    The standard compensation for this role is $107,900 - $161,800. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate

     

    qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

     

    Compensation Statement

     

    The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
