    Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will protect controlled cryptographic item (CCI) equipment and cryptographic materials used in military and testing operations and the loss of information or materials that could pose a direct threat to national security. You will provide administrative support of the physical security of over 500-line items of U.S. and Allied classified communications material and equipment for NAWCWD NEW COMSEC account. You will perform the duties as the COMSEC Manager in the development, formulation, installation and management of policy in all matters (technical and administrative) regarding COMSEC and its support of LE and visiting units. You will perform spot checks and training assist visits on LE commands to ensure proper handling and safeguarding procedures for COMSEC material are being observed. You will be responsible for providing COMSEC user training for all military, DOD civilian personnel and contractors assigned to NAWCWD NEW COMSEC account. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Security Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Leading security teams through complex multi-discipline security scenarios, mentoring and developing team members into proficient security specialists; (2) Interpreting and applying security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; (3) Coordinating and administering sensitive projects, testing, and security operations within prescribed objectives and timelines; and (4) Operating Automated Information Systems (AIS) security equipment, programs, alarm systems, entry control systems and intrusion detection systems.
