Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for a **Staff** **Industrial Engineer Level 5** to become the Technical Lead of our Industrial Engineering and Operations Management team of qualified, diverse individuals in **Clearfield, UT** . This position will be filled as a Level 5 (Staff Level) Industrial Engineer. This position will be located primarily in Clearfield, Utah, with expected **travel** up to 50% to other **Locations** . This position is on-site and cannot be performed remotely.
The Industrial Engineering Team is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many other organizations. Responsibilities:
+ Preparing, developing and coordinating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet all objectives
+ Ensuring manufacturing schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
+ Implementing scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis
+ Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
+ Build scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
+ Develop optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraint.
+ Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams.
+ Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers.
+ Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies.
+ Leads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologies.
+ Creates new metrics and data visualizations to track performance.
+ Provides weekly and monthly status and reporting
+ Tracking plans and schedules
+ Creating, maintaining and validating Schedule data
+ Performing risk analysis and management
+ Identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts
+ Utilizing Gantt, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field with 12 years of experience as an Engineer in the following industries; Aerospace, Industrial, Productions, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems or Process; OR Master of Science Degree in STEM field with 10 years of experience in the mentioned fields as an Engineer; OR PhD in STEM field with 9 years of experience in mentioned industries as an Engineer.
+ At least 10 years’ experience in Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations or Production Engineering
+ 8+ years of Experience implementing and using complex scheduling
+ 5+ years of Strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program schedule change requests, forecasting, and schedule milestones.
+ 5+ years Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team.
+ Manufacturing Execution System (MES), MRP/SAP/Oracle or related experience
+ Experience leading teams or projects.
+ Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, excel, including macros and pivot tables.
+ Experience with data mining/data analysis.
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies including, but not limited to, Toyota Production System, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and Agile manufacturing etc.
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs. Clearance is required to start, but not to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering
+ EVMS experience
+ Experience building scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
+ Ability to work on an assembly floor.
+ Experience providing strategic direction regarding Engineering or Manufacturing products, processes, technology, and people leadership.
+ Experience briefing executive leadership and customers on complex topics ranging from strategic business initiatives to tactical implementation plans.
+ Experience with MS Project, Excel (and formulas) & PowerPoint.
+ Experience with Excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables.
+ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a shop floor manufacturing environment.
+ Active DoD clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $134,300.00 - $201,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
