Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a **Command & Launch (C&L) Infrastructure Systems Engineering Launch Equipment Manager 2** in support of the Sentinel Program. This role will be located in **Roy, UT.**
What You’ll Get To Do:
As the Launch Equipment Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 12 systems engineers across multiple domains and disciplines. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented and be able to work collaboratively with multiple remote teams and disciplines.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Lead the Systems Engineering Capabilities activities for the Command & Launch Infrastructure Launch Equipment team
• Coordinate vertically and horizontally with multiple engineering teams and organizations.
• Coordinate with customer and supplier engineering teams.
• Coordinate Incremental Functional Capability activities to shape team priorities.
• Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) coordinating with specialty engineering teams.
• Organize and lead execution of multiple Critical Design Review events.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment as the Launch Equipment Systems Engineering Manager.
Essential functions include:
• Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with senior management, peers, and employees.
• Provide ownership for the people, processes, and tools that support business areas and programs in achieving their missions.
• Supporting FHR efforts in areas of process improvement, training and staffing.
• CAM/WPL experience
• Knowledge of MBSE tools and methods

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of experience
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
• Managing people experience preferred
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Active DoD Top Secret with SAP clearance
• ICBM Experience
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Experience managing programs or subcontracts in an Earned Value framework – Control Account Manager certified
• Strong understanding and broad application of engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities
• Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations
• Functional management experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
