Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented financial professional with experience in mutual fund accounting and mutual fund expense oversight. The Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing fund expenses, budgets, and financial reports, while supporting regulatory filings and audits. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical functions in a fast-paced and evolving environment, while collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Transfer Agent, and Financial Reporting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Create and analyze expense budgets for assigned fixed expense categories; propose daily accrual changes and financial reporting adjustments.

+ Review Expense and Payable Analysis spreadsheets for a group of mutual funds; ensure accuracy and timeliness for reporting and audits.

+ Collaborate with external fund auditors during annual and semi-annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

+ Prepare prospectus fee tables and SAI expense tables; explain year-over-year changes to management and ensure accuracy in fund filings.

+ Monitor asset-based fees and expense caps; perform variable fee calculations and expense ratio trend analysis.

+ Conduct complex pro-forma expense analysis related to fund launches, mergers, liquidations, and contractual fee changes.

+ Draft and maintain standard operating procedures for Treasury-related expense activities; identify opportunities for operational improvements.

+ Provide training and support to junior expense analysts; assist in onboarding and process standardization.

+ Serve as first-level reviewer for recurring Treasury deliverables; act as liaison to Treasury Managers for issue resolution and updates.

Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience in mutual fund accounting or within administrative areas of an investment advisor, audit firm, or custodian bank.

+ Minimum 1 year of direct experience with mutual fund expenses or Treasury-related functions.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

+ Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with complex financial models.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.

+ Experience working cross-functionally with departments such as Legal, Product, Financial Reporting, and Transfer Agent.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $35-$55 per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
