Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. seeks an Associate Application Administrator II to join its experienced team. Contribute to system stability and efficiency. Support enterprise applications and analytical software.
Essential Functions and Job Information
Essential Functions
+ Identify and solve application-specific support problems promptly.
+ Complete change requests and qualifications to maintain system integrity.
+ Maintain comprehensive system documentation.
+ Partner with and assist senior staff and other internal teams in addressing customer concerns, promoting world-class cooperation.
Job Complexity
You will work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring your judgment to resolve issues or make recommendations effectively.
Job Knowledge
It is our expectation that you demonstrate a significant grasp of the position, employing your knowledge and skills to carry out a broad scope of tasks proficiently.
Supervision Received
You will normally receive little instruction on daily work, with general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Business Relationships
Your contacts will be frequent with individuals representing other departments and outside organizations. These contacts involve acquiring or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function, department, or sensitive nature.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
+ High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
+ Technical positions may require a certificate.
+ Prior work history demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities to fulfill the role (equivalent to a minimum of 4 years) or a similar blend of academic background, instruction, and practical exposure.
Expertise and Capabilities
+ Familiarity with server administration and architecture (Windows Server, Linux) and relational database concepts.
+ Familiarity with desktop operating systems and desktop efficiency applications (MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, etc).
+ Ability to diagnose problems and define/resolve/coordinate the implementation of solutions with other groups.
+ Capability to troubleshoot and resolve a broad spectrum of application issues collaborating with senior team members.
+ Self-motivated with the initiative to see issue resolution through to completion.
+ Business-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Positive attitude with a dedication to high-quality work.
+ Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills.
