Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

The outpatient LPN-3 position duties include but are not limited to:

+ Provides direct nursing care to clients receiving treatment for mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or medical illness.

+ Responsible for performing individualized direct client care.

+ Performs standard nursing services, which may include the following: administering prescribed medications, performing injections, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for new clients.

+ Participates as an active member of an inter-disciplinary Treatment Team.

Appointment Type: Probational Appointment or Job Appointment

Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00/hour for hours worked performing direct patient care.

The following rates are Special Entrance Rates (SER) established for this agency in these job titles:

+ LPN 3 (https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=150020) : $22.30/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
