    THIS IS A FULL-TIME OTHER PERSONAL SERVICES (OPS) POSITION***

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    A high school diploma or its equivalent.

     

    Possession of a valid Driver License.

    JOB DUTIES:

    + General plant care which includes, but is not limited to, watering, pruning, sprouting, transplanting, irrigation, fertilizing, mixing and spraying pesticides, weed removal, leaf and debris pick-up, and pot washing.

    + Keeping greenhouse clear of weeds by periodic herbicide application.

    + Basic irrigation maintenance and repair.

    + Communicates and interacts with the public and others in a courteous and professional manner.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    + Knowledge of basic plant cultivation.

    + Skill in working with hand and gardening tools.

    + Ability to work in a greenhouse environment.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs. and bend repetitiously.

    + Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and humid environments.

    + Ability to walk on uneven ground and in inclement weather.
