    Job Title: English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

     

    Hours: 32 hours per week

     

    Start Date: ASAP

     

    End Date: End of School Year

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a passionate English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to support K–8 students in Calumet City, IL. The ELL Teacher will implement instructional plans, foster a positive learning environment, and collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to help English language learners thrive academically and socially.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Deliver instruction aligned with district standards and classroom plans.

    + Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

    + Establish effective rapport with students and maintain proper classroom management.

    + Collaborate with building administrators and two other ELL teachers.

    + Utilize tools such as Imagine Learning to enhance language acquisition.

    Caseload Details

    + Approximately 30 students, primarily Spanish-speaking.

    + Work alongside two other ELL teachers for collaborative support.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or related field.

    + Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) and ESL endorsement (required).

    + At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).

    + Ability to read and implement instructional plans and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.

    + Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.

    + Current CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate (as applicable).

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.
