    Salary: $2730 / Week

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a TK–K Mild/Moderate classroom at Halecrest Elementary School in Chula Vista, CA. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through the 2025–2026 school year.

    Position Details:

    + Location: Chula Vista, CA

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + Duration: 34 weeks

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM (35 hours/week)

    + Pay: Up to $70/hr local or $2,730/week travel

    + Caseload: 11 students

    + Setting: Mild/Moderate TK–K classroom

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Interview Type: Virtual

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide specialized instruction and support for TK–K students

    + Develop and implement IEPs

    + Collaborate with general education staff and participate in team planning

    + Maintain documentation and comply with professional standards

    Qualifications:

    + Valid California MM Certification

    + Experience teaching younger students preferred

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
