    We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to support a small group of students in kindergarten and 1st grade with significant needs, including Autism and limited communication skills.

     

    This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to helping young learners grow through individualized instruction, tutorial support, and teamwork with general education staff.

    What You’ll Need:

    + Valid Special Education teaching license

    + Previous SPED and classroom experience required

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

    + Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

    + State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
