We are looking for a Program Manager to join CommScope’s Datacenter Project/Program Management Office (PMO) The Datacenter PMO is responsible for leading execution of our strategic projects and programs, managing multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity. We partner closely with colleagues from multiple functions within the organization (PLM, Sales, R&D, NPI, Operations, Planning, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Quality, etc.). We protect the customer’s experience by assuring every decision considers our customer’s impact. This role is onsite (five days a week) at our Shakopee, MN facility, the Center of Excellence for our Datacenter R&D team. Preference will be given to local candidates.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World
As a Program Manager, you will help build a cross-functional team that works as a unified unit towards common goals. In this role, you will be a partner on cross-product and cross-team initiatives, working closely with cross-functional team members and leaders. As you partner with team members, you will refine and develop our projects all the way from ideation, development, validation, production readiness to full market launches.
+ Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity, customer impact and scope with a wide range of cross-functional partners.
+ Conduct and lead Work Stream Leader and Program meetings.
+ Present monthly updates to organizational and executive leadership.
+ Drive portfolio or solution delivery, build consensus, anticipate, and creatively solve or escalate roadblocks when they arise while keeping the Program on schedule.
+ Manage a cross-functional team to stay on schedule and find ways to recover if roadblocks are encountered.
+ Create executive reporting within a given template and timing cycle.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
+ Five or more years of program/project management experience within an industry that develops physical product portfolios or solutions.
+ Project management experience and an understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
+ Experience in leading, forming, influencing and managing teams.
+ Exposure to New Product development processes within and governed by the organization.
+ Experience with financial data and project financial indicators, such as project budget tracking and reporting.
+ Initiator/motivator; pro-active attitude and a sense of urgency with a drive to get results.
+ Understanding of business processes and functional areas that contribute to successful project execution.
+ Leadership, relationship management, and team-building skills
+ Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making ability.
+ Excellent communication skills in English, both in written and verbal form, conflict resolution, presentation and facilitation skills with all associate and Management levels.
+ Experience tracking successful processes to determine current process states, and facilitating cross-functional process sessions for improved efficiency, reduced cost, risk mitigation, etc.
+ Considerable experience with computer applications, including PC-based business applications and project management software. i.e. SAP, MS Office.
+ Ability to travel as needed for up to 10% of the work period.
+ Be able to work in the Shakopee, MN facility five days a week.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
+ PMP certification preferred.
+ Ability to work independently; self-starter.
Our salary ranges take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business requirements. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $102,800 - $133,600.
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
