Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory & Parts Management

+ Maintain appropriate min/max levels of critical parts.

+ Source parts from approved vendors and monitor inventory using CMMS.

+ Review low stock alerts and flagged items from maintenance checks.

Workplace Safety & Cleanliness

+ Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment at all times.

+ Adhere to HACCP plans and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Daily Operations & Team Coordination

+ Lead daily pre-shift meetings to review work orders, safety topics, contractor activity, and root cause analyses.

+ Review and manage pass-downs from maintenance technicians.

+ Reschedule incomplete or supply-dependent work orders.

+ Ensure end-of-shift pass-downs are completed daily.

Preventive Maintenance (PM) Oversight

+ Monitor PM completion and forecast upcoming PMs.

+ Ensure maintenance techs have at least 90% of their time scheduled for tasks.

Compliance & Reporting

+ Participate in audits and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions.

+ Complete all required daily and maintenance reports accurately.

+ Manage fire cabinets and ensure proper storage of grease and lubrication supplies.

Other Duties

+ Perform additional tasks as requested or assigned by leadership.

Safety

+ Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the People and Engagement Manager.

+ Responsible to participate in mandatory safety training program requirements.

+ Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries.

Quality & Food Safety

+ Completes quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.

+ Responsible to participate in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements.

+ Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies.

+ Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.

Position Requirements

+ Minimum of a high school education

+ 3 years related field experience

+ General knowledge of mechanics, electrical, pneumatics, and plumbing

+ Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math

+ Required to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility

+ Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust odors, fumes, oils and greases

+ Ability to drive vehicle during the workday is required

+ Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

+ Good math and analytical skills

+ Good communication skills (oral and written)

+ Ability to work well with others

+ Self-Motivated

+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

+ Computer (PC) skills, with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)

+ Familiarity with CMMS systems and inventory management.

+ Experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
