Virtual Bed Coordinator Registered Nurse - located in Big Flats, NY! This position is 12 hour day shifts and would physically sit in a call center type setting located in Big Flats NY.

This position is eligible for a $25,000 sign on bonus!

Position Details: This Virtual Bed Coordinator Registered Nurse must work out of the Big Flats NY office and will work with the Guthrie system to place patients in beds based on patient need and level of care.

Education, License & Cert:

Dually licensed in NYS and PA License. BSN strongly preferred. Certification preferred

Experience:

5 years of clinical experience in acute care setting required and 1 year in Critical Care strongly encouraged. Demonstrated leadership (minimal charge nurse role) and effective communication required.

Essential Functions:

1. Seeks to support a professional practice environment which fosters excellence in nursing practice.

2. Fosters professional nurse empowered decision‐making, accountability and autonomy in nursing practice.

3. Oversee and assist with the placement of patients using the right patient, right unit methodology

4. Maintains confidentiality while serving as a professional liaison with the community.

5. Participates in professional continuing education programs.

6. Participates in nursing committees, performance improvement activities and initiatives.

7. Demonstrate effective communication, written and verbal

8. Complete all required documentation needed for validation, improvement, and data collection

9. Collaborate with the Entity House Supervisor for proper placement of patients.

10. Guide patient placement for right patient, right entity, right unit

11. Prioritize the data and information collected based on the patient's immediate condition or anticipated needs. Work through potential risks or barriers to getting the patient to their destination in a safe and timely manner.

12. Working with the Entity House Supervisor, coordinate and arrange emergent and non-emergent patient transfer.

13. Assist with the efficient and appropriate patient bed assignments while monitoring on-going bed availability. Coordinate patient flow throughout each entity while collaborating with the Entity House Supervisor, leadership, administration, and staff.

14. Assist with inputting patient placement in Epic, when needed

15. Assist with Inputting transfers in Epic, when needed

The pay for this position ranges from $40.25-$62.59 per hour.
