    FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park.     Job Summary:

    The OEM Product Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, and ongoing support of products developed in partnership with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This role ensures that Fecon products are engineered for seamless integration into partner machines, meet joint specifications, and align with both Fecon and OEM quality, safety, and cost objectives. The OEM Product Engineer serves as a technical liaison between Fecon’s engineering team, production teams, and OEM partner engineering groups, managing projects from concept through production release.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    + Collaborates directly with OEM partner engineering teams to define technical requirements, specifications, and integration points for joint product development projects.

    + Manages assigned OEM projects from initial concept through production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.

    + Serves as the primary technical contact for OEM partners, providing regular updates, technical documentation, and engineering support.

    + Designs, modifies, and validates products and components for OEM integration using CAD software and other engineering tools.

    + Ensures designs meet all joint Fecon and OEM safety, reliability, cost, and performance requirements.

    + Coordinates prototype builds, testing, and validation activities—both internally and at OEM partner sites.

    + Oversees engineering change notices (ECNs) for OEM products, ensuring updates are communicated and implemented with both Fecon and OEM manufacturing teams.

    + Works with Fecon’s production, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure manufacturing readiness for OEM projects, including BOM setup, ERP updates, and production process documentation.

    + Supports OEM partners during new product launches, field testing, and early production, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions quickly.

    + Collaborates with Supplier Development Engineers and procurement on OEM-specific components and materials to ensure availability and quality.

    + Participates in joint design reviews, gate meetings, and technical reviews with OEM partners.

    + Provides cost analysis and participates in value engineering initiatives to meet joint target costs.

    + Develops and maintains repair, installation, and integration documentation for OEM products to support OEM service networks.

    + Mentors co-ops or junior engineers involved in projects.

    + Maintains current knowledge of OEM partner platforms, applications, and integration best practices.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    + Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English with strong public speaking and presentation abilities.

    + Advanced problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, project management skills **.**

    Education and Experience:

    + Minimum of 2-year degree in Engineering . Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) is preferred.

    + 2-4 years of engineering-related experience in a co-op or work-related role.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Communicates orally and in writing; and hears at a conversational level.

    + Required to sit, use fingers to grip with pressure, twist or bend the wrists, and keep wrists in prolonged positions of flexion or extension.

    + Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, climb ladders of up to 3 ft. in height, reach, twist while rotating the torso, lift up to 35lbs., use hands to grip with pressure, keep feet in prolonged positions of flexion or extension. Must be able to traverse the production facility.

    + Infrequently required to kneel, crawl, balance, climb up to 20 stairs, bend repeatedly, pull, push, and carry up to 50lbs., lift 35-50 lbs., and operate hand controls.

    + Rarely the employee will be required to perform hand over hand pulling and operate foot controls.

    + Frequently works around moving vehicles and wear safety glasses.

    + Occasionally works outdoors, in cold below 55 degrees and between 90-110 degrees Fahrenheit, around greases and oils, in the presence of vibrations and dust that is greater than a nuisance, and with machinery with moving parts.

    + Infrequently works in heat exceeding 100 Degrees Fahrenheit, with thread-locking fastening chemicals, in the presence of disagreeable or unpleasant odors, work with ladders or scaffolds, with hands in water, cutting oils, or solvents, work in a confined space, alone, wear ear plugs, hard hat, safety boots, or safety gloves, and travel by plane, train, or motor vehicle with overnight stays.

    + Rarely will be required to wear a respirator or body protection, work below ground, in the presence of mists, or around noxious or harmful odors such as paint fumes and exhaust.

    + Must be able to travel up to 33% of the time to customer locations, OEM partner facilities, supplier sites, and field locations.
