    Job Summary

    We’re looking for an experienced sales leader to take on one of NetApp’s strongest Enterprise Districts, covering Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. This opportunity comes as the previous leader earned a promotion, leaving behind a **high-performing team, strong partner ecosystem, and a territory with significant upside.**

     

    As District Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading, developing, and growing a team of Enterprise Client Executives across the region. This is a **50/50 territory split between new logo and existing accounts** , so success requires both hunting discipline and account expansion expertise. The right leader will bring a strong background in enterprise technology sales across datacenter and/or cloud infrastructure sales, proven team-building skills, and deep relationships with partners in the region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + **Team Leadership & Hiring** : Lead, coach, and develop a team of Enterprise Client Executives. Partner with NetApp’s best-in-class recruiting team to **hire and retain top talent** across the district.

    + **Revenue Growth** : Own and exceed multi-million-dollar revenue goals by driving new business and expanding existing customer relationships.

    + **Strategic Sales Execution** : Implement disciplined sales processes, including value-based and solution selling, to position NetApp as the go-to storage provider for enterprise customers.

    + **Pipeline & Forecasting** : Ensure effective pipeline development, accurate forecasting, and consistent execution of sales activities.

    + **Customer Relationships** : Build and maintain trusted, executive-level relationships with enterprise accounts across the territory.

    + **Partner Ecosystem Engagement** : Leverage and expand strong partner relationships in the region to accelerate growth and extend NetApp’s reach.

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work closely with pre-sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to maximize sales opportunities and support your team.

    + **Market Awareness** : Stay current on competitive trends and customer needs, ensuring NetApp remains the leader in storage solution

    Job Requirements

    + **Proven Sales Leadership** : 12+ years in sales, with 5+ years managing teams accountable for multi-million-dollar revenue.

    + **Storage Expertise** : Deep background in storage/datacenter/infrastructure technologies and enterprise sales.

    + **Track Record of Success** : Demonstrated ability to scale teams, open new territories, and drive consistent results in both hunting and account expansion.

    + **Strong Partner DNA** : Established relationships with regional partners and proven success co-selling.

    + **Talent Builder** : Experience hiring, retaining, and developing top sales talent.

    + **Excellent Communicator** : Skilled at motivating teams, influencing executives, and driving alignment across the business.

    + **Operational Discipline** : Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and execution focus.

    Compensation

    The base salary range for this position is $350,000 - $425,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
