    MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST, MACHINING

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Execute the production, assembly, and integration of complex machined parts in a multi-axis machine shop

    + Resolve, analyze, and solve manufacturing discrepancies, while interfacing with the quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and assembly)

    + Fully develop and implement future state production systems for all products

    + Set up and operate multi-axis CNC Mills up to 5-axis

    + Inspect parts using hand tools to verify dimensions

    + Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and/or verbal instructions

    + Work with complex, tight-tolerance parts and various materials

    + Meet expectations for productivity

    + Communicate with shop leadership when production is inhibited

    + Continuously provide feedback for process improvements

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment; OR bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline

    + 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5-axis milling

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Experience with Siemens Controller / Okuma Controller / On-Machine Touch Probe

    + CAD experience (NX & Teamcenter a plus)

    + Strong understanding of NC programming, CMM programming, PLC programming

    + Experience with capacity modeling, process mapping and fault analysis

    + Pareto analysis, root cause and corrective action experience

    + Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must be open to work either shift, overtime and/or weekends as needed

    + Ability to work the following shift options:

    + 1st Shift (Monday - Friday: 4am-2:30pm)

    + 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday: 3:30pm-2am)

    + Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position

    + Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

    Pay range:

    Manufacturing Specialist/Level 4: $43.00 - $52.00/hour

     

    Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
