             Job Description Join BAE Systems' Air & Space Force Solutions and be part of a diverse team that solves complex technical challenges in manufacturing and production flow. The Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3), Vault Modernization Program (VMP), modernizes vaults at various locations worldwide, addressing issues such as vault-unlock codes, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, and maintenance capabilities. Key Objectives The project focuses on optimizing manufacturing and production flow to achieve efficient and secure vault modernization. Key objectives include: Developing and implementing a streamlined production process to minimize delays and maximize productivity Implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Analyzing and optimizing production flow to identify areas for improvement and reduce costs The Role The Engineer Senior Principle - Systems Engineer will lead the systems engineering effort for the VMP, ensuring that the manufacturing and production flow meet all requirements and are properly integrated. The ideal candidate will have expertise in design for manufacture and experience in product design or mechanical design. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement systems engineering plans, procedures, and standards for manufacturing and production Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and meet systems engineering requirements for MES and QMS Analyze and assess production flow performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize workflows Integrate multiple system design solutions to meet requirements and prevent impact to maintenance capabilities Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and databases for manufacturing and production flow Apply design for manufacture principles to ensure efficient production and minimize manufacturing complexities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly What You'll Bring A high level of senior professional expertise in manufacturing and production flow, with a focus on design for manufacture and product design or mechanical design Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve common goals Customer-focused, with a strong understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional service Detail-oriented, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to changing priorities and circumstances Experience with product design or mechanical design software and tools, such as CAD, CAE, or simulation software Strong understanding of design for manufacture principles and methodologies Benefits As a VMP team member, you'll enjoy: A healthy work-life balance with flexible work arrangements Collaboration with a talented team Opportunities for growth and development Recognition for outstanding performance A competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities to travel to locations within and outside the United States Required Education, Experience, & Skills + Bachelor with 8 years of experience or Master with 6 years of experience + Progressive experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes. + Experience leading system design, integration, and analytical efforts + Capable of determining appropriate use of technologies in solving engineering problems + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Experience with systems engineering tools and software, including Cameo and SysML + Must be able to obtain Secret (or higher) security clearance + Capable of creating required engineering documentation using Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Access Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills + Experience in testing, commissioning and validation activities + Familiar with Department of Defense programs + Project Management Professional Certification Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
