BAE Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join us as the Manager of Employee Engagement, Content, and Channels. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, executing, and managing strategies that strengthen employee engagement, foster a positive workplace culture, and optimize communication channels across the organization. Reporting to the director of Employee Communications and Engagement, you will lead a team whose objective is to ensure employees are informed, inspired, and connected to the company s vision, strategy, and values through compelling communications, effective platforms, and measurable engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a communications and engagement team, providing coaching, guidance, and growth opportunities; foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
+ Develop and implement programs that drive employee engagement, recognition, and connection to company culture.
+ Manage the planning, execution, and governance of internal communication channels including the company intranet, newsletters, digital signage, Teams, etc.
+ Ensure channels are user-friendly, accessible, and optimized for reach, engagement, and clarity.
+ Evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and ways of working to improve communication effectiveness.
+ Develop and manage employee communications content calendars that support enterprise-wide initiatives, campaigns, and leadership messaging; you will also contribute to the omni-channel Inc. editorial calendar.
+ Create and edit engaging, clear, and consistent content.
+ Partner with Talent Acquisition and Career mobility to strengthen the employer brand by sharing authentic employee stories, culture highlights, and career opportunities through internal and external channels.
+ Ensure alignment of internal engagement campaigns with external recruitment messaging for a seamless employee and candidate experience.
+ Collaborate on content and campaigns for social media, career sites, and events that showcase the company as an employer of choice.
+ Define and track key performance indicators to measure engagement and channel effectives across the Employee Communications and Engagement team.
+ Provide insights and recommendations to leaders for continuous improvement

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field 8 years (6 years with advanced degree)
+ Experience in employee engagement, internal communications, or related roles with at least 2 years of people leadership experience.
+ Experience supporting or collaborating with Talent Acquisition teams on employer branding and recruitment marketing.
+ Strong people leadership skills and experience with a demonstrated ability to manage high-impact projects and cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to think strategically, balancing long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
+ Adept at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a collaborative and professional attitude.
+ Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
+ Measurement and insights expertise with the ability to translate data into key insights and learnings.
+ Proven experience managing digital platforms and channels (e.g. intranet, Microsoft 365, Slack/Teams, SharePoint).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ AP Style guru.
+ Experience in digital communications and content strategy, namely for company intranets and other employee communications channels.
+ Visual storyteller with experience developing print materials, digital signage, presentations, infographics, etc.
+ Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
+ Highly organized with strong project management skills.
+ Comfortable working in complex, matrixed organizations.
+ Previous experience in the aerospace, defense, or technology industries.
+ Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
