    The BAE Systems site at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support the Solventless Value Stream. In this role as an Quality Engineer, you will help advance the mission of driving a continuous improvement culture at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. You'll use your expertise and background to foster and nurture a positive environment supporting continuous improvement efforts with a growth mindset. Using lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5 Why, A-3, and Six Sigma, you'll work with cross functional teams to drive improvement.

    In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will:

    + Develop project plans and roadmaps that align with business goals;

    + Lead and facilitate improvement projects;

    + Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement within processes;

    + Monitor performance metrics to identify areas of concern and trends;

    + Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive process improvement events;

    + Serve as the technical quality lead for process and product.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline and four years related experience;

    + Experience within a manufacturing / production environment;

    + Strong data analytics skills;

    + Experience with Lean tools such as Value stream mapping, 5 Why, and A-3;

    + Working experience using visual boards, metrics, root cause analysis, etc.;

    + Ability and willingness to challenge convention and the status quo to foster continuous improvement efforts;

    + Mechanical aptitude;

    + Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to successfully deliver and share information and training;

    + Ability to work collaboratively within a team;

    + Computer skills to include MS Office and industry-related software.

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + DOD Manufacturing experience;

    + Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;

    + Six Sigma certification a plus;

    + ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus.

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
