Job Description

This role manages the Apple device ecosystem across a large K–12 environment, supporting over 160,000 devices, including 60,000 iPads. The administrator will oversee Mosyle MDM and Apple School Manager, ensuring secure, scalable, and instructional-aligned device management.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer Mosyle MDM for Apple devices, ensuring performance, compliance, and scalability.

Manage Apple School Manager for provisioning, app deployment, and class management.

Lead large-scale iPad rollouts, including automation, supervision, and asset tracking.

Collaborate with academic teams to align devices with instructional needs and privacy standards.

Partner with finance and procurement to manage app licensing and optimize costs.

Troubleshoot MDM and Apple ecosystem issues escalated from helpdesk or site-based teams.

Maintain documentation for MDM configurations and deployment workflows.

Monitor system health, perform audits, and implement security best practices.

Support integrations with identity platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) and learning tools.

Provide training and guidance to local tech support and instructional staff.

Pay Rate: $30-45/hr depending on experience

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience administering Mosyle MDM (or similar) in large-scale Apple environments.

Hands-on experience with Apple School Manager, DEP, and Volume Purchase Program.

Strong understanding of iPadOS/macOS device management and security.

Familiarity with K–12 technology environments and digital learning initiatives.

Experience supporting fleets of 10,000+ Apple devices; large-scale deployments preferred.

Working knowledge of Azure AD, Okta, or similar platforms.

Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Understanding of change management and ability to thrive in a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.

Willingness to travel 10–15%; onsite presence required 5 days/week. Certifications such as ACSP or Mosyle Administrator Certification are a plus.
