    Job Description

    A leading rental company is seeking a Systems Architect to join their Customer Digital Technology Team in a hybrid role (remote Mondays and Fridays, onsite Tuesdays through Thursdays). This strategic position involves designing and optimizing complex system architectures, evaluating existing systems and their integrations, and guiding scalable, phased micro-deployments for new features. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility, support AI-driven initiatives, and provide architectural oversight that aligns with enterprise standards. Responsibilities also include running ad-hoc queries, calling APIs, and advising stakeholders on best practices for system enhancements and feature implementation.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    6+ years as a Programmer Analyst or Systems Architect

     

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience

     

    Strong understanding of systems integration concepts

     

    Proficient in SQL (DB2, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Redis, Mongo preferred)

     

    Familiar with data warehouse/data lake technologies like Snowflake

     

    Experience with AWS and on-prem systems setup

     

    Skilled in web applications and consuming web services

    Knowledge of ETL and data replication concepts

    Understanding of OLAP vs. OLTP trade-offs

     

    Hands-on troubleshooting under pressure

     

    Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

     

    Effective communication of complex concepts with teams, IT groups, and vendors

     

    Proficient in diagnosing and resolving integration challenges

     

    Quick absorption of technical information

     

    Ability to anticipate issues and balance independent work with cross-functional collaboration - Coming from an enterprise company
