    Job Description

    An employer is seeking a highly skilled COMSOL Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in electrochemistry to support advanced modeling and simulation initiatives for a leading pharmaceutical client. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, validating, and optimizing electrochemical models to support drug delivery systems, biosensors, and other pharmaceutical applications. Key responsibilities will include: develop and implement multiphysics models in COMSOL, with a focus on electrochemical systems (e.g., ion transport, electrode kinetics, diffusion-reaction mechanisms), collaborate with R&D, formulation, and process engineering teams to translate experimental data into validated simulation models, conduct parameter sensitivity analyses, mesh refinement studies, and model validation using experimental benchmarks, and generate technical documentation, simulation reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.

    Skills and Requirements

    3+ years of hands-on experience with COMSOL Multiphysics, particularly in electrochemical modeling modules (e.g., Electrochemistry, Batteries & Fuel Cells).

     

    Comfortable working fully remote and 20-25 hours a week (hours are up to them)

     

    Experience working in or with pharmaceutical or life sciences clients.

     

    Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python) is a plus. J&J Experience
