    Job Description

    A Tampa-based employer is seeking a remote Product Owner to join their team. This role will focus on driving product development through effective backlog management, requirements refinement, and active participation in Agile ceremonies. The Product Owner will serve as the voice of the customer and end user, ensuring their needs are represented throughout the development lifecycle.

     

    Key responsibilities include: Validating and accepting work items to ensure alignment with business goals. Championing best practices and standards in defining and documenting product requirements. Mentoring and coaching junior product managers, fostering growth and consistency across the product team.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred: Background in Finance, Risk Analytics, or Regulatory Reporting)

     

    Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and full software development lifecycle.

     

    Finance/Accounting background

    Experience working with:

    Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management and tracking

     

    Generative AI tools for productivity and story refinement

     

    Understanding of non-functional requirements and cross-team dependencies

     

    Excellent communication with various levels of stakeholders

     

    Great leadership experience Agile certification

     

    Finance/Accounting background
