The role you'll contribute:
The Inpatient Coding Manager, under the general supervision of the Inpatient
Director of Coding, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of
AdventHealths inpatient coding department. This includes managing the inpatient coding teams, ensuring accurate and timely coding of medical records, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting revenue cycle integrity. This role provides leadership and direction to a team of inpatient coders, supports professional development, and collaborates with key
stakeholders across the organization to maintain optimal revenue cycle performance and data integrity. The Inpatient Coding Manager plays a critical
role in managing discharged not final coded (DNFC) volumes, meeting productivity and quality benchmarks, and supporting audit readiness and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) ), Revenue Integrity, HIM, and other departments to promote accurate clinical documentation, appropriate reimbursement, and adherence to coding standards and guidelines. A commitment to service excellence, strong interpersonal communication, and a focus on continuous improvement are essential for success in this role. The Inpatient Coding Manager upholds the highest standards of customer service, fosters respectful professional relationships and adheres to AdventHealths Corporate Compliance Plan, as well as all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting body standards..

Qualifications - External
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
+ Bachelor's [Required]
+ in Health Information Management or related field
+ 3 years of supervisory/management experience [Required]
+ 5 years of inpatient acute care hospital coding experience [Required
+ Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) [Required] OR Certified Professional Coder
+ Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) (Required]
+ Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) [Required]
+ an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
+ Bachelor's degree and 5 years of work experience; 3 years of supervisory experience OR * Associate's degree 5 years of work experience; 5 years of supervisory
