The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all flooring surfaces within a facility. This includes tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• No experience required and on the job training provided

• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer service experience

• 1 year of similar work experience

Position Summary:

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all flooring surfaces within a facility. This includes tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Clean and maintain various types of flooring (tile, carpet, hardwood, concrete, etc.)

+ Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and vacuums

+ Strip, wax, and polish floors as needed

+ Spot clean carpets and perform deep carpet cleaning

+ Follow safety procedures and use appropriate signage when working

+ Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

+ Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors

+ Ensure compliance with company standards and health regulations

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred

+ Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services is a plus

+ Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

+ Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment

+ Good communication and time management skills

Work Environment:

+ May involve working evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts

+ Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
