The role you'll contribute:
**Tutors assist students I** in academic support by meeting them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Tutoring is a supplement to teaching. Tutors provide motivation for learning and act as role models for their peers. They work on an individual basis or in group sessions to answer student's questions on course content and provide study strategies to aid in the mastery of course content. They actively provide an outstanding academic support service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. They assist students with developing effective study habits, use of appropriate learning resources and learning strategies to enhance student learning.

+ Facilitates both individual and group tutoring sessions based on curriculum needs.
+ Creates and maintains a tutoring schedule convenient for both the student and the tutor.
+ Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of each tutoring session.
+ Maintains strict confidentiality of all student information, materials, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship.
+ Performs front desk activities including answering the phone, scheduling, and record keeping in the absence of the Tutor Coordinator.
+ Provides motivation for learning and acts as a role model for peers.
+ Uses appropriate equipment and resources to stimulate subject knowledge.
+ Coordinates with the program coordinator to ensure tutoring sessions are appropriate.
+ Answers students' questions on course content and provides study strategies.
+ Develops and implements learning strategies to enhance student learning.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
This position is only offered to those students attending AdventHealth University, all others will be withdrawn
+ It is required to attach your current semester's class schedule with AHU
