    Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the Auto Skills Center Manager in the daily operations of the Auto Skills Center. Supervises the daily operation of the Auto Skills Center, and assumes responsibility for overall operation of the Auto Skills Center in the absence of the Auto Skills Center Manager. Prepares new tenants contracts, assigns spaces, and maintains current tenant files. Ensure property security and the physical maintenance of the grounds. Evaluates the program to ensure maximum usage of space. Responds to customer complaints and investigates delinquent accounts. As required, performs sales transactions with eligible patrons and assumes responsibility for a change fund. Ensures all rental equipment is kept in ¿ready to use¿ condition. Makes recommendations to the Auto Skills Center Manager to replace items that are beyond economical repair. Initiates and follows up on correspondence relating to past due accounts. Maintains inventory of over item stock and reports overages shortages, or damaged equipment. Accepts new items of equipment after initial receipt by the purchasing and receiving department. Receives and unloads new equipment as necessary, stores and accounts for new items. Evaluates work performance and provides recommendation to the Auto Skills Center Manager for performance evaluations, training, promotions, awards and disciplinary action. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, assigning work based on priorities. Provides advice and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Hears and resolves employee complaints and identifies their developmental and training needs. Resolves customer complaints as necessary and refers unresolved issues to the Auto Skills Center Manager. Ensures the area is free of safety hazards and is well maintained. Ensures that customers are aware of safety rules. Submits requests to the Auto Skills Center Manager for minor and major facility repairs and improvements and provides input for policy or procedural improvements. Maintains close liaison with other military bases within the area to ensure fees and charges for like services are comparable. Submits ideas to improve equipment usage and may be required to solve minor equipment problems. Provides courteous, helpful service to customers, co-workers or any individual in any capacity that seeks services from MCCS activities. May assume non-managerial duties of any employee as the situations warrants. Performs other related duties as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Four years related administrative experience. Knowledgeable in automotive maintenance, safety procedures, inventory control, storage and distribution practices. Ability to maintain accurate records and files reconcile payments and review contracts. Ability to recognize when equipment is in need of repair and determine if repaired items are in satisfactory condition and working order. Must be able to lift and carry items up to 45 lbs. and items over 45 lbs. with assistance. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, when dealing with customers, vendors, employees, military personnel and other management officials.
