Job Summary
As the Senior Development Assistant at Michigan Public Health, you will work directly with the Chief Development Officer, Chief Health Policy Officer, and all members of the Development and Alumni Engagement Team to help raise important funds and enhance connections with our 18,000-person alumni base, gaining experience in all areas of fundraising and alumni relations as part of our team. You will also provide some generalized support to other senior leaders in the Dean's Office. This is an excellent opportunity to learn many facets of Development and fundraising at the University of Michigan, while also supporting critical functions for the School of Public Health.
The Senior Development Assistant will provide administrative and project support to the School of Public Health's Development and Alumni Engagement Office and support our Health Chief Policy Officer. Administrative responsibilities include calendaring, P-Card reconciling, database management, and assistance to the Chief Development Officer for donor visits and travel support. Project support will include compiling and creating donor briefings, coordinating with academic departments on alumni activities, assisting with major donor and alumni events, and other projects related to the Look to Michigan campaign. You will report to the Director of Donor Relations and Communications. You will have the potential for a hybrid schedule with a remote option up to 2 days/week. Remote work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change, dependent on the needs of the hiring department, throughout the course of employment

Responsibilities*
+ Provide calendar, travel, and administrative support
+ Lead all data management, gift reporting, and gift processing functions
+ Manage gift agreement and stewardship processes
+ Collaborate with Academic Department leadership in all aspects of alumni relations, including alumni interaction tracking and Public Health Connect platform support
+ Research, write, and produce high-level donor and prospect briefings for leadership
+ Support and collaborate on alumni, donor, and stewardship events.
+ Research and compile information for the Health Chief Policy Officer
+ Produce and analyze prospect lists for specific regions to support the upcoming comprehensive campaign
+ Collaborate with other administrative professionals within the dean's office to provide support to senior leaders in the Dean's office, and coverage, and coordinated processes.
+ Team player with a high level of discretion dealing with sensitive information.
+ Operate in a customer service environment as a team member to set priorities and handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
Required Qualifications*
+ Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 2+ years of experience providing administrative support.
+ Demonstrated proficiency with document creation/ editing with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, and Sheets.
