Job Overview:

Under direction of facility management, the Production Technician will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in the production facility. The Production Technician will be responsible for operating a steam-methane reforming (SMR) facility while meeting all safety, environmental, corporate, efficiency and production requirements.

Responsibilities:

+ Obtain knowledge required to operate and troubleshoot the various types of equipment associated with Steam Methane Reformers.

+ Top fired heater

+ Reactors

+ High pressure steam system

+ Pressure swing adsorption unit.

+ Pumps and compressors

+ Analytical equipment

+ Drums and knockout pots

+ Cooling water system

+ Instrument air system.

+ Flare operations.

+ H2 Product delivery

+ Monitor the Process. This includes making rounds, completing reading sheets, water sampling and ensuring environmental permit limit and process limits are adhered to.

+ Learn how to identify hazards, safe out equipment, and write safe work permits.

+ Learn the importance of Housekeeping.

+ Field Qualify at one of the SMR Facilities.

+ Effectively communicate with fellow operators, technicians, engineers, and managers

+ Adhere to all Corporate and Plant policies.

+ Maintain the highest degree of personal safety, and environmental accountability at all-times.

+ Maintain high standards of housekeeping.

+ Participate in daily and monthly safety and production meetings.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude.

+ Willingness to progress into a process operator position.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.

+ Ability to work from heights.
