    What You Will Do

    - JOB SUMMARY

    As a member of ITG Brands’ Corporate & Legislative Affairs (CLA) team, you will play a critical role in advancing our grassroots advocacy and strengthening ITG’s presence in communities across the country. This position focuses on developing and executing innovative grassroots and grasstops campaigns that effectively reach consumers, retailers, and distributor partners. Working in close collaboration with state directors, you will help educate policymakers, community leaders, and key stakeholders on ITG’s priorities and the broader issues facing our industry.

    - WHAT YOU WILL DO

    + Build and manage relationships with influential distributors, wholesalers, convenience store leaders, and retailer associations across key states, in partnership with state directors, to establish trust and strengthen understanding of ITG’s priorities.

    + Design and implement grassroots advocacy plans with customers and consumers, expanding beyond traditional email campaigns to leverage platforms and strategies that resonate with today’s audiences.

    + Foster collaboration within ITG and with external industry stakeholders to fortify grassroots coalitions and amplify industry advocacy efforts.

    + Represent ITG at community and local events, including managing sponsorships, event logistics, factory tours, and, when appropriate, delivering remarks on behalf of the company.

    + Oversee state government relations contributions, including budget management and recordkeeping processes.

    + Support efforts to oppose municipal ordinances that may negatively impact the industry, under the guidance of state directors.

    + Monitor and analyze local policy developments, tracking pending and enacted legislation with potential impact on ITG and the tobacco industry.

    + Collaborate with state consultants to execute grassroots or municipal campaigns as needed.

    + Approach complex issues with strategic thinking, providing thoughtful recommendations and scalable action plans.

    Qualifications

    - REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Journalism, Business, or a related field (preferred).

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or communications.

    + Proven ability to design and execute strategic digital advocacy campaigns.

    + Strong relationship-building skills with external stakeholders and internal partners.

    + Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

    + Experience planning and executing in-person events, including logistics and onsite support.
