Job Summary
As a Senior Quality Manager with KBR, you will lead the development and implementation of quality management systems to ensure the highest standards of excellence. You will uphold KBR's values of Zero Harm, Integrity, and Teamwork, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Commercial & Technology (C&T) Sr Quality Manager will support various aerospace support functions including quality assurance and metrology, to include certification and accreditation audits, root cause corrective action, and operational support as required. Additionally, the Sr Quality Manager supports our technical services team comprised of engineering, IT, quality engineering, and industrial controls solutions teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Implement KBR’s Performance Excellence (KPEX) program across C&T.
+ Assist C&T OPEX team in DMAIC processes.
+ Coordinate Zero Harm Culture throughout C&T, TSTI implementations, and monthly meetings.
+ Develop and implement quality management systems and processes.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and KBR policies.]
+ Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor quality performance.
+ Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
+ Provide support for the integration of digital technology, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance operational excellence.
+ Collaborate across teams to maintain quality standards for services, products, materials, and procedures within assigned work scopes.
+ Coordinate the delivery of functional objectives by supporting leadership and direction to managers and professional staff.
+ Provide technical expertise to support the Quality program, including inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and tools for problem-solving and assessments.
+ Utilize knowledge of quality systems and tools to support the validation and verification of contractually required standards for project execution and proposals.
+ Support the alignment of quality management functions with the performance needs of service and product lines.
+ Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and best practices.
+ Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
+ Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives.
+ Report on quality metrics and performance to senior management.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
+ Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing quality-related concerns and feedback.
+ Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality management.
+ Must be able to travel at least 40-60%.
+ Plan to spend 10% on Zero Harm, 20% on certifications and accreditations, and 70% of the time on operational support duties (RCCA, KPEX, and measurement).
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
+ Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background check
+ Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 12 years of directly related Quality experience.
+ Requires strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001 and AS9100).
+ Must be proficient in data analysis and quality management software
Preferred Qualifications
+ Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or similar quality management certifications.
+ Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma for services programs.
+ PMP or similar certification.
+ Completion of Lead ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO17025 QMS auditor training.
+ Experience with Aerospace manufacturing, U.S. military fuel farm controls systems, SCADA and PLC control systems, ISO17025 and asset management programs.
