**Corteva Agriscience** is looking for a responsible and highly motivated **Breeding Support** **Specialist** to join the research team in **Windfall, Indiana** . The Breeding Support Specialist is an integral member of a multi-crop and cross functional research center committed to developing and testing new traits, hybrids/varieties, and products for several crops. The Breeding Support Specialist will support corn, soy, and wheat projects.
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for collaborating in a team environment to adopt and implement evolving technologies and methodologies that enhance and improve product development.

What You'll Do:
+ Contribute to joint success of in trial execution for all research groups at the station.
+ Collaborate with local and departmental staff to collect timely data and summarize results, noting problems during data collection, and recommending actions to be taken where needed for corn, soy and wheat.
+ Learn and use innovative digital tools/technology for research validation.
+ Participate in station activities which may include planting, harvesting, field maintenance, running equipment, experiment planning, location mapping, and seed preparation activities.
+ Maintain and improve the efficiency and safety of daily workplace operations.
+ Supervise contract labor and interns to complete center research activities according to protocols while ensuring a safe working environment.
What Skills You Need:
+ Associate's degree in agricultural/biological sciences with 2-4 years related experience or bachelor's degree (preferred).
+ Ability to develop a working relationship with team members by exhibiting effective communication and personal interaction skills with a diverse group of people.
+ Attention to details in a deadline driven environment. Self-motivation and ability to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem solving.
+ Ability to work independently while setting high expectations.
+ Adept at using standard software programs and learning internal data systems.
+ Demonstrate skills in leadership, operational safety, supervision, and time management.
+ Knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and/or experimental field plot design.
+ Capable of working in varied ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
+ Flexibility to work extended days at critical times of the season. Some overnight stays during peak times may be required.
+ Ability to operate agricultural machinery, especially research or field production equipment, is preferred.
+ A valid driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain a CMV license if needed.
+ Ability to obtain a pesticide private applicators license, part 107 UAS FAA pilot license and become forklift certified if needed.
