Job Overview:
Fairview is looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team at our St. John's Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. The Lead Engineer coordinates repairs of equipment maintaining the physical plant and external grounds. Assists with staff orientation, training and coordination. Completes purchasing, procurement and vendor management activities.
Position Details:
+ 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
+ day shift
+ no weekends
Job Responsibilities:
+ Building Engineering: Knowledge and ability to repair Medical Office Buildings and Clinic equipment, including utility systems, HVAC systems.
+ Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.).
+ Professional Practice: Demonstrates behavior consistent with the standards, scope of practice, ethics, and characteristics of a licensed professional.
+ Safety Testing and Practices: Knowledge and application of safety practices, fire and disaster policies and procedures; safety testing, performance verification, and operations procedures for various types of equipment.
+ Scheduling: Knowledgeable in assigning appropriate resources to meet business needs in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Qualifications
+ High School graduate or equivalent
+ 4 years experience in heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
+ Steam Plank Equipment, Plumbing, Structure, Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical Equipment
+ Class 1-C Boiler Qualification Source: MN Department of Labor & Industry
