    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the sanitation shift.

     

    + Manages plant personnel.

    + Responsible for following and upholding all safety policies and procedures established for the facility.

    + Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

    + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

    + Prioritizes food quality and maintains food safety, through the vigilant application of company SSOPs, GMPs and the master sanitation schedule.

    + Understands chemical usage, chemical titration, and chemical safety.

    + Understands goals, yields, variances and calculations.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Four to five years of progressive experience working with industrial food manufacturing equipment and chemical sanitation processes. Skills:

    + Effective oral and written communication skills.

    + Operating knowledge of computers, desktop software, and business systems.

    + High School equivalency math skills.

    + Must possess knowledge in the area of safety; including OSHA and other applicable federal and state regulations.

    + Knowledgeable of food processing, HACCP, GMPs and sanitation preferred.
