    Job Title: Strategic Buyer

     

    Working Pattern: Fulltime

    We have exciting opportunity as Strategic Buyer working within the Group Business Services (GBS) organization. The role of the strategic buyer will support the creation of the integrated commodity strategies and the execution of associated strategic sourcing and commercial activities.

     

    This role will be assigned to the Test, Assembly Tooling, and R&T commodity which includes but not limited to: Test facilities, materials testing, sub-component testing, ground support equipment, design-make tooling, and research with universities.

    What you will be doing

    With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

    + Lead complex negotiations through planning, performing cost analysis by creating total cost or acquisition/product cost lifecycles models, drafting of contracts and creating business cases to maximize the value proposition across all major categories.

    + Work with suppliers to identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities in line with agreed contracts with deployment of relevant cost models

    + Support the execution of sourcing and commercial activities to maximize the value proposition across designated commodities / categories. Will be able to gain a fact-based understanding of current supply base, supplier economics and major trends in relevant markets

    + Select supply chains capable of meeting quality and delivery requirements and ensuring the management and rectification of quality and delivery issues

    + Ensure accountability for compliance to company policies, processes, and procedures, including, but not limited to all purchasing records and documentation correctly maintained in line with regulatory requirements

    + Develop comprehensive workable solutions in complex situations and will support the deployment of risk management practices to assess, communicate and mitigate supply chain risks.

    + Understand supplier obligations contained in the Global Supplier Code of Conduct and address any supplier compliance concerns through direct action or escalation while ensuring that supplier compliance to the Global Supplier Code of Conduct is maintained

    Basic Requirements:

    + Associate degree with 4+ years of purchasing or contract management experience OR,

    + Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of purchasing or contract management experience OR,

    + Master's Degree with 3+ of purchasing or contract management experience years OR,

    + Experience in Lieu of degree with 6+ years of purchasing or contract management experience.

    + To consider this role, you should be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
